Rtv Visual Entertainment Generator Lite Review

*For more info, read our review on the regular VEG*

Rtv has released the VEG LITE. It is identical to the original VEG. The main differences being that the LITE version does not have a TV tuner. The lack of a TV tuner is a good thing because it dropped the price to 59.99 -- Now all those who wanted a VEG but didn?t want to fork over 99.99 can settle for the LITE for 40.00 less!

The lack of a TV tuner is really no big deal. Chances are you already have a TV somewhere in your home so another one isn?t really a necessity.

Two other things that are different are the menu and the lack of a remote control. First off, the menu has been improved to look sharper and better. It is clearer and superior than the original VEG. The lack of a remote control is pretty obvious. No TV Tuner equals no need for a remote.

The look remains the same and the functionality remains the same. Text is sharper, visuals are smoothed out, etc. The back of the unit contains a DC IN, Phone In, Left and Right Audio inputs, Phone Out, Video Input, S-Video Input, VGA Output, VGA Input. Pretty much the same as the original. Aside from plugging in your Xbox you can plug in any other gaming system that uses AV cables. You can even plug in VCRs and Camcorders!

Overall, the VEG LITE is great for those looking for a cheap way to connect their gaming systems to their computer monitors. Great quality, great price, great value.
